Associational Emphasis Month

Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, the churches of Hatcher Pass Baptist Association are serving together in the Kingdom of God with a cooperative focus to develop and encourage healthy churches made up of growing disciples who, in turn, produce additional growing disciples and new discipling congregations.

During the month of May, your church is encouraged to say thank you to those who serve and lead in local missions and church planting. May 20–26, 2013 is set aside as Associational Emphasis Week in the Southern Baptist Convention. Our associational missions is about partnership. This partnership happens when a region of churches come together, united in a common mission, to reach and disciple those communities, the state, nation, and world.Associational leaders are committed to providing encouragement, training, community resources, leadership, and missions mobilization for the region’s pastors, church leaders, church planters and the community.

Ideas you can build on:

• Volunteer your time to help in summer ministries such as hosting incoming missions groups, JAM Camp or the State Fair outreach.
• Write thank-you notes to church planters, summer volunteers, incoming mission teams and our summer missionaries; praising their work for God’s kingdom in this ‘Great Land.’
• Pray for your associational missionary, the volunteers who lead our associational leadership team and the four church planters listed below.

‘WELCOME THE MISSIONARIES’ BRUNCH

On Saturday morning, June 1, Hatcher Pass Baptist Association invites you to join us at Fairview Loop Baptist Church, 9:30 AM as we welcome our summer staff and kick off great summer ministry and teamwork through our church planting efforts and summer outreach.  Join us for great food (breakfast plus), great fellowship and a summer challenge.

Camp Dates at LaVerne Griffin Youth Recreation Camp

X-Faith Youth Camp – June 17-21, 2013 For youth (boys and girls) in Middle School through High School. If you have just completed the 6th – 12th grade you can come and join us!

Boys Camp – June 24-28, 2013 This high energy, God-focused week is specifically designed for boys who have completed Kindergarten– 6th grade. A week of equipping our young boys to be godly men.

Girls Camp – July 1-5, 2013 This missions-focused camp is for girls who have completed Kindergarten—6th grade. A great week to see how young girls can make a difference!
