Fair Update: 750 Evangelism Cards on First Day

on Oct 11, 2013

On the first day of the Alaska State Fair our Evangelism Booth was hosted by the First Baptist Church of Willow.  Several from other churches assisted them!  Even in the rain, at least 750 Evangelism Cards were distributed and 19 Christmas Card sheets containing over 1050 signatures were obtained.  Let me remind you of the message on the back of those 750 Cards.

  • Thanks for joining thousands of other Alaskans in wishing our military personnel who will be deployed over the 2013 Christmas holidays a safe and joyful holiday season.  The sheet you signed will be attached to the large picture on the table, sent overseas and posted where it can be viewed by deployed troops, because we deeply appreciate those who sacrificially serve!  It is a great gift to us and to all Americans who love freedom! We share this miniature card with you because we want everyone to experience a Merry and a Meaningful 2013 Christmas!  You see over 2000 years ago the God who created you sent a great gift, baby Jesus, to earth—and the world still celebrates!  He came to give you a great gift—to provide for your salvation—to bring meaning and purpose to life—to be the Savior!  And you know what?  He succeeded!  Jesus died upon the cross, shed His blood to forgive your sin—and three days later he arose from the dead.  The Bible says: “… if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”  Romans 10:9.  You can receive this gift.  Jesus can be your Savior, Lord, Teacher and Friend!  The prayer below demonstrates how you can  A) – accept God’s gift of forgiveness, (B) – believe in your heart that Jesus died to pay for your sins and (C) – how you can personally confess Him as your Savior and Lord.
